Ain't Nothin Going to Break My Stride..

Just having one of those lovely New York City days where nothing or no one can wipe the smile from my face. Of course the song 'Break My Stride' came to mind when thinking of my new title of my post. I even had to look up the lyrics, which by the way are better than I remembered. As I read the first verse it instantaneously reminded me of someone who oddly enough is one of the reasons today I have this lovely smile on my face. Here are the lyrics of the first verse,
Last night I had the strangest dream
I sailed away to China
In a little row boat to find ya
And you said you had to get your laundry cleaned
Didn't want no-one to hold you
What does that mean
And you said

And of course as the refrain goes. Ain't nothin going to break my stride.. and it won't. Hopefully. Or should we say at least until I lock myself out my apartment again, lose my keys, get locked IN my apartment, lose my wallet, lose my W2's, or basically lose my mind. Until that all happens. I'll be good.

So back to my lovely day. Had a great walk about through my hood and went and had brunch close to the water front at a restaurant called Mole. Couldn't of gotten a nicer day out, for realz. On my walk back I even bought myself a beach hat. Just the idea of being able to buy a BEACH hat got me excited! I hope I get some use out of it this summer. But even if I have to buy a kiddie pool and put it on my roof, I will find a way to wear that hat.

So these pictures are mostly from The East Village...I hope you enjoy. Slainte!

I noticed this sticker just before I sat down.

 Love this dog...
I have seen these for years, I still don't know what they are or why they are there.

 I love a good shadow.

And of course lil ol' me.
Can't forget a picture of my beach hat! I also need to show proof to my family I'm still alive and well.
