Who Knew I'd End Up In Bushwick....

It's been exactly a week in my new place in Bushwick. For those who don't know, Bushwick is a neighborhood in Brooklyn just east of Williamsburg. So far I'm really enjoying all aspects of it! I really love my apartment. A lot more open and much larger room. I moved in with Rose who I know from a previous job. The ONLY thing that is really annoying me is the fact that I don't have any furniture. But I'm surviving. The thing you learn living in NYC is surviving on as little as possible. Which I think everyone should have to go through in learn really fast how little you really need.

Today is the second day after Nemo, so there is still a good amount of snow and slush. But today was the first day in awhile where the temperature was bearable to go out in. I was surprised for only being 35' out how many people were out. There were a lot of parents out with their kids and surprisingly a lot of people in the snow covered park. As I was making my way home a gentleman on his stoop stopped me and asked if I had time to look at his camera because he couldn't figure out how to turn it on. Long story short, I didn't know either. I'm pretty sure it was broken or the batteries were old. I got a shot of his dog Duke and went on my way with a smile on my face. You see, these are the small moments why I love this city.
