I've Come Along Way Baby

Labor day weekend I left the insanity of New York City for some R&R back in good ol' Iowa and Nebraska. I flew into Des Moines and was picked up by two of the most amazing friends a girl can have. Amy, Jolene and I have not been in the same city all together in almost three years. I can't remember a time that I've had so much fun. For real, I really can't remember the last time I laughed and felt so good in a very long time.

Monday I went back to Momma Coughlin's house and spent Labor Day at my brother and sister-in-law's house with my three nieces and my unforgettable nephew. The rest of the week was spent relaxing with Mom at the house. We did get up to Ponca State Park which a lot of these shots are from.

On my return to New York City, I realized how much I loved the silence and the quietness of Nebraska and Iowa. I'm pretty sure my bedroom window faces the noisiest street in Brooklyn and I would love to be able to sleep with my bedroom window open and not hear the madness of Dekalb Avenue. But this time next month I will be in another apartment, hopefully in Harlem and hopefully with a bedroom window facing a brick wall and not noisy street! A girl can dream!
