My Agency Moment

I've been slacking majorly on taking my camera out.. I could say I've been super busy, but that would be only half the truth. I actually have had a lot going on the last month, between my mom coming into town for the first time, Bear Mountain, being at the live show of The Daily Show during election night and this last week I was lucky enough to get to have amazing seats at The View. (Rosie Perez looked AMAZING) It seems like my days off are spent catching up on sleep and catching up on life. But I'm bound and determined to change all of that!
I just read this great article called The Agency Moment by David Brooks. It's a pretty short op-ed piece, but damn did it speak to me. I feel like I've had numerous agency moments, there just broken down into smaller moments. I can definitely feel the pain of insecurities especially when it comes to my work as a photographer, AND the fact that I just turned 35 this year. I'm still dealing with the whole adult thing, especially when the rest of the world at my age seems to be heading in a different direction then me. I guess you could say I'm taking the long way around.

Head Shots! Get Your Head Shots!

So I've decided to start doing head shots and because as an artist and have very little faith in myself and my work...I like to practice as much as I can...so luckily I have many actor friends that I get to practice on. This is Chelsea who is obviously cute as a button! We met up at Fort Greene Park on a beautiful fall day and had a blast.
Hopefully my webpage www.lizbeth.photography will be up and running sometime in November. There you will be able to see my work easier, buy prints and contact me for shoots.

A Wedding in Utah

I was lucky enough to get out to Utah for Jolene and Andy's wedding! It was absolutely stunning. We stayed in Springdale for the weekend then for the wedding we had to take an hour hike up into the mountains. These are a few from the drive up and the next morning after the wedding. Hope you enjoy!

A Sun Rises in Nashville

I was fortunate to fly out to Nashville for the Fourth of July and spend it with the bestest friends a girl could have. Six of us rented a house in east Nashville and it was set on three beautiful acres of land. This was just one of those nights where we lost track of time and the sun starting rising! Amy and I did have to climb a fence, but both of us coming from Iowa, we've climbed a fence or two. Hope to have more up soon from the rest of the trip.. Enjoy!

Had to take of shot of Johnny's bow tie!

One of my favorites...for obvious reasons.

This lovely family had no photographer, so I volunteered and took some shots for them.
