Mermaids On A Brooklyn Island

Went to the Mermaid Parade in Coney Island this past weekend with my friend John and had such a great day! I really got some great shots, so I might do a few post to kinda spread it out a bit. When we first got to the parade it was a bit overwhelming. It was hard to get  close enough and get a good shot. I especially work harder since I shoot with a set 50mm lens, I really have to work for a shot at times. As you will see with a few I had to include the parade volunteer and the policeman. Figured since they weren't moving I just had to include them! The first shot here is definitely  a top favorite. The very last shot also is great, I went black and white to bring out even more emotions of the photo.

I  have started a Facebook page that highlights my blog here, please follow! I would really appreciate it. I will also be working on my new webpage which will have a gallery of my shots and a link to Etsy to buy prints. I'm hoping to have it all set up by the end of July. Slainte!

I have a few favorites from Saturday and this is definitely one of them.

You will not catch me on The Thunderbolt!

I love the Americana feel of this photo.

On A Roof Top In Brooklyn

Just a few shots from Saturday evening on the ol' roof top. I kinda want to print these out and hang them side by side! Hope you enjoy...

The Start To A Great Summer

I already have a feeling this summer is going to fly by. With summer guest coming to see me, bachelorette parties and weddings it should be a very fun and well traveled summer. I was out this weekend and the weather could not of been more pleasant! I wish I had the opportunity to take my Canon out a little bit more, but only had a chance one of the days. Slainte!

Battery Park

This is Brian who I met in Zuccutti Park on Friday.
This is Brian asking this lady nicely if she would move over a bit so he wouldn't fall on her... She wasn't' happy about it.
