New York Is Strange

“New York is strange in the summer. Life goes on as usual but it’s not, it’s like everyone is just pretending, as if everyone has been cast as the star in a movie about their life, so they’re one step removed from it. And then in September it all gets normal again.”

Rain And Clouds.. A Photographer's Best Friend

It's either been either super humid here in New York or super humid and rainy, but today it finally broke and we got a decent day of sun and less humidity. The first shots here are from this morning on my rooftop and the last three are from yesterday in between the down pours all day.

I did a little heavier of an edit on some of these, especially this one. I love messing around with Lightroom and finding new things to really bring out some drama in some of my shots.

New Lens, New Life

Momma got a new lens and it's fantastic! I've always wanted a wide angle lens and I finally got one. These are just a few shots from my twenty min jaunt around my block. Hope you enjoy! Gotta love some Brooklyn architecture!

Quacking My Way Through Prospect Park

Last week I got out on one of the few normal days we've had in the last few weeks. Weather was beautiful, no humidity and by the time I arrived home there was actually a chill in the air. All of this ended the next day when humidity kicked in and New York City went back to being the swamp it originally was. I did get a few good shots of the sun going down. There was this beautiful pink hue over the whole lake. It was so relaxing and calm. It made me forget I was in Brooklyn. So here are some shots of the night.. Hope you like ducks!

Park flowers.

Looking good.

Calm waters...

Why aren't you feeding me??

Only shoot my good side.

So calming.

Best friends..
